Chilliwack – Bobbypin’s Curiosities on Mill Street in Chilliwack hosted an interesting take on the Chilliwack Rainbow crosswalk issue.

In Friday evening, organizers brought a piano to the store to paint in rainbow colours, in show of their support for the rainbow crosswalk project. They supplied everything needed to complete the project, and some 20 people didn’t mind getting paint splattered on them.

In the crowd of on lookers and painters included Chilliwack School Board Trustees Willow Reichelt and Jared Mumford. Federal Liberal Candidate Kelly Velonis also made an appearance.

Organizers got the idea from other North American communities who posted different ideas of support to social media.
