Chilliwack – After the hullabaloo with the Downtown Chilliwack Rainbow Crosswalk being a dead issue at City Council just a couple of weeks ago, comes this.
The Chilliwack School District will tackle the same issue. From their agenda for the September 17 meeting:
RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Board of Education direct staff to paint a rainbow crosswalk across the parking lot in front of the School District office ( 8430 Cessna Drive ).
BACKGROUND: The Chilliwack Board of Education is committed to inclusion and representing all students, staff and familiesin the school district.

This should draw an overflow crowd of supporters and those in opposition. The Tuesday meeting starts at 7PM.
