CANCELLED – Fortin’s Classic Car Show

Chilliwack – Kyle Williams, the Executive Director for the Chilliwack BIA had to make the unpleasant decision on Friday afternoon, to heed the weather forecast for Sunday and cancel this year’s Fortin’s Classic Car Show in Downtown Chilliwack. No one seems to remember the last time this happened to the event , but those in the know have narrowed the time frame down to either 2007 or 2008. Usually, it’s always sunny and hot for the show. This year will be the anomaly.

ORIGINAL STORY – One of the hottest events of the summer in Chilliwack is the incredible Fortins Village Classic Car Show, returning to the streets of downtown Chilliwack once again, Sunday June 23.

There is the threat of cancellation should the forecast hold.

RAIN. As of 6PM Friday, the call is for a 60% chance of showers.

The organizers will make their decision by 3PM Friday , should they have to pull the plug. They need 36 hours to inform everyone involved, and that’s a lot of people from car owners to performers, on what will happen.

FVN will keep you in touch through all of our social media platforms.
