Chilliwack Fire – Third Suspicious Fire Since Sunday

Chilliwack – Three suspicious fires in three different homes. Early Wednesday morning (around 8AM) another home, this time on the 46000 block of Norris Avenue, went up in flames.

No one was hurt and the occupants inside were able to escape. There was extensive roof and smoke damage.

The blaze was the third house fire in just a few days. An excavator had to be brought in to level the building as it was deemed unsafe to enter.

On Sunday an empty home burned on Margaret Avenue and Monday, there was another on Maple Avenue. Both of those homes were vacant.

All three fires are considered suspicious and under investigation by Chilliwack Fire Department and RCMP fire investigators.

If anyone has any information about this fire, they are asked to call the RCMP at 604-792-4611 or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.upperfraservalleycrimestoppers.ca
