Effective Saturday June 1, Griffin Security will replace incumbent Allegiance as the 24 Hour guard for the Downtown Core. Griffin lost the bid as the long time provider in 2017 and recently gained back the contract.
Kyle Williams clarified the agreement with FVN:” The BIA did not hire Griffin, and officially does not have a security contract with any provider. The City has the contract with Griffin. A new partnership with the BIA helped to expand the City contract to help focus on downtown and offer some services to downtown businesses. As it is a City contract, Griffin is not necessarily confined by our boundaries or commercial focus. Our (BIA) only agreement / contract is with the City”
