Abbotsford – On Wednesday (May 22)Abbotsford Police plain clothes officers observed a vehicle being operated by a male who was known to be a prohibited driver. Due to the subject’s previous dangerous driving behavior, officers tailed the vehicle until it stopped in a Chilliwack parking lot, and the occupant, 39 year-old Tyler Houle go out.
With the help from the Lower Mainland District Police Dog Service Unit, Houle was arrested without incident on outstanding warrants. A search of his vehicle yielded a loaded and unregistered SKS rifle. Police continue this investigation.

Houle is facing additional charges of prohibited driving, and of occupying a vehicle knowing a prohibited firearm, restricted firearm or non-restricted firearm was contained inside, contrary to Section 94(1) of the Criminal Code. Houle was released subject to several court conditions. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 17.
