Chilliwack – Social media lit up on Thursday morning when plums of thick black smoke could be seen for miles from Downtown Chilliwack. First explosions were heard and then the 40 foot flames.
Coletta Holmes, among others to social media, said this was a garage at 4th at Nowell (Target Steel and Sea Container). It’s the business that repurposes steel shipping containers – living units, offices, storage units.
Local streets have been blocked off and neighboring businesses including a bakery have been evacuated.
