All Business Bloomberg Radio Coming To Vancouver April 30

Vancouver/Toronto/New York – (With files from Canadian Radio News/CNW/Bell) – Bell Media announced Wednesday morning that CFTE 1410 in Vancouver will be dropping its TSN Sports format on April 30th to become All Business BLOOMBERG RADIO 1410.

This is the same 1410 AM that used to be the legendary Top 40 powerhouse 14CFUN in the 60’s through to the 90’s.

With a 50,000 watt AM transmitter, the reach of the station can blanket Metro Vancouver and cover the Fraser Valley.

CFTE had been operating as an “overflow station” for Vancouver’s TSN 1040 (CKST) since 2010. With the arrival of Sports Net 650 (CISL) in Vancouver this past Fall having 3 Sports stations in the market was redundant. TSN 1040 will now merge some of the programming that was broadcast on TSN 1410.

BNN Bloomberg is an amalgamation of TV, Radio and On Line resources. The major partnership sees BNN, Canada’s most-watched source for televised business news, add Bloomberg’s vast array of financial news, market data, analysis, video, and television programming to its already considerable range of assets.

BNN Bloomberg’s new slate of content offerings are augmented by the launch of a new radio channel, BNN Bloomberg Radio, which will be available for live streaming across the country via the iHeartRadio Canada app, and locally in Metro Vancouver on HD Radio at 103.5 HD2 and 1410 AM.

Featuring a simulcast of BNN Bloomberg’s linear television broadcast, BNN Bloomberg Radio keeps listeners across the country up-to-date on breaking business news as it happens, wherever they are.

In addition, Bell Media Radio will integrate a broad array of short- and long-form radio reports from BNN Bloomberg into its news/talk stations across Canada, highlighted by The Takeaway with Amanda Lang, a daily radio update from the BNN Bloomberg host featuring updates on the most significant business news of the day.
