One Week Left For Your Say On New BC Cannabis Rules

Victoria – There’s still time to have your say on how B.C. should regulate the use of non-medical cannabis when the federal government makes it legal next July.

B.C.’s goal is to build a provincial regulatory framework for non-medical cannabis that prioritizes the protection of young people, health and safety, locking criminals out of the industry, and keeping roads safe. All British Columbians have an opportunity to share their views, become a part of history and help ensure the framework best represents their interests and priorities.

To have your voice heard on issues such as minimum age, personal possession limits, consumption in public, drug-impaired driving, personal cultivation, distribution and retail models, visit the consultation website before 4 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2017, at: http://engage.gov.bc.ca/BCcannabisregulation/

Since the launch of the public engagement period on Sept. 25, 2017, more than 30,000 British Columbians from around the province have completed the survey and shared their feedback.
