Abbotsford – Ty Burgess, a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, smashed his vehicle into an Abbotsford Police car Wednesday afternoon (5PM) while trying to escape from Police.
APD officers spotted the man near where Highway 11 and Highway 1 meet.
Sgt. Judy Bird said.“They saw the man in the vehicle, turned on their emergency lights, and as the man attempted to flee he sideswiped the police car.”
He then drove over a small embankment and fled the scene. All three officers involved were not hurt, but the cruiser was damaged.
Burgess is wanted in connection with a parole violation.
He was last seen in a white 2010 GMC Sierra with license plate LB7085.
