Chilliwack – On Sunday Afternoon (April 16, 2017, at approximately 2:06p) the Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire located in the 9400 block of Carleton.
Firefighters responded from Halls 1 and 4 and on arrival, reported seeing smoke and flames showing from a basement window of the single story residential home.
The home suffered some fire damage to the basement as well as light smoke damage throughout.
The occupants are now in the care of Emergency Social Services.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Fire Department officials and the RCMP.
