Fraser Valley – One would think that common sense would prevail after a major snowstorm/ice storm that we just had. But there are some where, quite frankly, don’t get the memo and voila, Search and Rescue have to bail them out.
North Shore Rescue is warning people to stay out of the back country as there is a high risk of avalanches.
That has been echoed by SAR units across the Lower Mainland , the Fraser Valley and for the rest of the Province.
Falling ice or ‘tree bombs’ caused by warming weather are liable to trigger snow slides.
