Vancouver/New Westminster (CKNW) – Corrections Service Canada says 30-year old William Ryan Fisher, one of the last two Stanley Cup Rioters to be sentenced, has died while in hospital in New Westminster.
No word on what lead to his death.
He had been serving a three year sentence for multiple charges, including Taking Part in a Riot and Assault.
The police and coroner have been notified, and will be investigating.
In a release, Correctional Service of Canada says they will review the circumstances of the incident.
