CJHL Prospects Game In Surrey January 26

Surrey, BC – The CJHL Prospects Game at South Surrey Arena January 26 is a one-game showcase of the top Junior A talent in the nation but its impact will leave a lasting legacy on local hockey players and the host community.

The event will see a donation of $2,500 to KidSport on behalf of the CJHL, Hockey Canada and the NHL. This money will go to local minor hockey associations to help five first-time hockey players and their families with registration for the coming season.

Minor hockey players will further get to take part in the Prospects Game during player introductions, 7th man program and youth hockey game at the intermission.

Tickets to the game itself have been given to local schools and minor hockey teams so they can see firsthand the opportunity offered in Junior A hockey and the CJHL.

In addition to that, participating bantam and midget hockey players will have the chance to attend a free Smart Hockey education seminar put on by the BCHL with representatives from the NCAA and Canadian college ranks. This will run in conjunction with dryland fitness testing and analysis.

Game time is 7:05 p.m. as Team East and Team West face off with top talent evaluators on hand from the NHL and college ranks. The 15 CJHL players included in this week’s NHL Central Scouting player rankings are all invited. Tickets for the game are $10 and are available at www.surreyeagles.ca
