Chiefs Lose 1/2 In Wenatchee

Wenatchee Washington – Three unanswered second period goals led the Wenatchee Wild to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Chilliwack Chiefs Friday night.

With the win the Wild (21-9-3-2) move to within one point of the Mainland Division Chiefs (22-7-1-3).

The Chiefs held 1-0 and 2-1 leads in the game. Goal scorers were Vimal Sukumaran (23) and Jordan Kawaguchi (24).

The Wild got goals from August Von Ungern, Blake Christensen, Dakota Raabe and Daniel Nachbaur.

Aidan Pelino turned away 32 shots. Chase Perry made 25 saves to earn the win for the Wild.

Chiliwack was 0/2 on the power play and 5/6 on the penalty kill.

The two teams meet again Saturday night in Wenatchee.
