Agassiz/Kent/Abbotsford – This past Sunday (December 13, 2015), James Edward Rogers, an inmate at Mountain Institution in Agassiz, died at Abbotsford Hospital.
At the time of his death, Mr. Rogers, 62 years old, had been serving an indeterminate sentence for first degree murder and aggravated assault since June 5, 1984.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
