College Hockey Info Sessions – Bauer BCHL Showcase‏

Chilliwack, BC – At the upcoming Bauer BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack, the BCHL is again inviting young players and their families to join expert guests and league representatives who will be speaking about the path to Junior and college hockey.

On Saturday, Sept. 26 and Sunday, Sept. 27, the BCHL will be hosting information sessions, at no charge, with NCAA coaches, former NHLers, Canadian college hockey coaches as well as league education directors. Both sessions will be from 9 to 10 a.m., just inside the main box office entrance at Chilliwack’s Prospera Centre.

“Our sessions have proven popular with players and families who are informing themselves about the opportunities and requirements on the way to college hockey,” said BCHL commissioner John Grisdale. “There was a family at one of our days last year with a son in high school and today he’s in our league and also has a hockey scholarship to Notre Dame. We love those kinds of stories and want to ensure all families have the details they need to make a good decision.”

As an added bonus, event presenting sponsor Bauer will be raffling off hockey gloves and sticks for attendees. Everyone attending the sessions will automatically be entered to win either a Bauer BCHL team stick or a pair of Vapor X100 gloves.

All 17 BCHL teams will be playing at the Showcase in front of hundreds of scouts from the college and professional ranks

Action starts at 10 a.m. each day of the event. (FULL SCHEDULE)
