Okanagan Sun Shuts Out Huskers

Chilliwack (Ryan Watters/Okanagan Sun) – It wasn’t pretty in a penalty filled game, but the Okanagan Sun defence shutout the Valley Huskers on Saturday night 64-0 ay Exhibition Field.

In the second quarter Thomas Huber connected on a 34 yard field goal, while Josiah Joseph hit Kyle Patchell for a 15 yard major, one play after Connor Novak recovered a fumble.

In the third Before hit Huber for a 67 yard score and Joseph connected with Pierre Luc Lord for a 44 yard touchdown.  Russell added his second major with a three yard plunge.

The fourth quarter was highlighted by a Jamie Turek 80 yard punt return for a touchdown.  Huber hit a 27 yard field goal as well.

The Huskers conceded three safeties and the defence forced another.

The Sun have won 14 straight in Chilliwack dating back to 1999.
