Helping The Toads At Ryder Lake

Ryder Lake BC (Star FM) – Good news if you’re a toad!

The Fraser Valley Conservancy says work is beginning today to install an amphibian crossing in the Ryder Lake area.

Every year during the toad migration, roads are closed and some of the toads are killed by cars.

This structure will run under the road so they can cross safely.

TRAFFIC NOTE – This means Elk View Rd is closed south of Ryder Lake Rd and detours are in place till the 22nd.

Get more information on the project and the detours HERE.
