Year One Is Done For FV Bandits – No Playoffs But Made An Impression (VIDEO)

Fraser Valley – Year One Is Done on the inaugural season for the CEBL and the Fraser Valley Bandits. They didn’t make the playoffs but they did make an impression. The pro basketball was entertaining.

On Thursday night in Abbotsford, the Bandits took on the Edmonton Stingers in Canadian Elite Basketball League action. The Bandits lost 95-85. Bandits forward Chris McLaughlin led the way for Fraser Valley with a double-double performance, scoring 13 points and collecting 14 rebounds.
Mamadou Gueye and Travis Daniels both had 19 points a piece for the Stingers.

The team finishes with an overall record of 4-16 and will look to rebound next May when Fraser Valley begins its second season of professional basketball at Abbotsford Centre. Bandit’s Andrew Savory was very pleased with attendance. Opening night was over three thousand, and they hit that target a few times ,playing at the Abbotsford Centre.
