2019 Vancouver Spring Radio Ratings

Vancouver – Vancouver PPM Radio Ratings for Spring 2019 from Numeris have been released. Vancouver , as a major market, has four rating periods a year. The Fraser Valley only has a fall rating period.

A few things to note. CHR or Top 40 radio stations have lost some luster over the past few years. This is a cyclical thing. KiSS Radio had a decent book, but that is due to the hits that Virgin radio took. CBC Radio One and Two English , only show up in Spring and Fall ratings books. The Breeze has held its own with a new Soft AC format that replaced oldies from last summer. Currently there are no Classic Rock or Oldies formats in Vancouver. Rock 101 and Jack FM have similar Classic Hits formats.

KWPZ is Praise 106 from Lynden Washington and siphons off ad dollars from Vancouver and the Fraser Valley and into the US ownership. Their Christian Hit Music resonates well in the Valley, particularly in Abbotsford.

CBC ICI RADIO-CANADA PREMIÈRE, CBC ICI MUSIQUE ,RJ1200, RED FM, Pulse 107.7, AM 1470, FM 96.1, 550KARI and AM1550 all do NOT subscribe to the ratings.

CKKS Kiss Radio is technically a Chilliwack station with a Vancouver transmitter and studios.

CIRH RoundHouse Radio is currently off the air and searching for new owners.
