Chilliwack RCMP Investigate Targeted Shooting on Chilliwack River Road

Chilliwack – Early Friday morning (5AM, March 23) Chilliwack RCMP received a report that a man suffering from a gunshot wound had driven his vehicle into a ditch on Chilliwack River Road.

Officers arrived at the location where they located a victim with serious injuries being assisted by passers by and BC Ambulance. The victim was transported via BC Ambulance.

Chilliwack RCMP Serious Crime Unit has conduct of the investigation. Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase of their investigation and believe the shooting was targeted.

RCMP are asking anyone traveling on Chilliwack River Road and surrounding area early Friday morning who may have witnessed unusual driving behaviour or events to contact us, says Corporal Mike Rail spokesperson for the UFVRD.
