UPDATE – Two Of Three BC Suspects Who Attacked Ontario Autistic Man Now In Custody- (VIDEO)

Peel, Ontario/Fraser Valley/Metro Vancouver – MARCH 26 UPDATE – Ronjot Singh Dhami who has connections to Surrey, turned himself in to Peel Regional Police alongside his lawyer.  He went to a police station in Brampton, Ontario and states that he is innocent. There remains one suspect on the loose named “Jason”. A first court date for Dhami has yet to be set.

MARCH 23 UPDATE – 21 year old Parmvir “Parm” Singh Chahil of Abbotsford has been arrested in connection with the assault. He was arrested in Windsor, Ontario and has now been charged with aggravated assault. He expected to be in court on Monday.

Two other people, both from Windsor, Ontario have been charged with accessory after the fact. Hardip Padda, a 44-year-old woman and an 18-year-old male, Harmanvir Chahi have both been released from custody and are due to appear in court May 2.

There are ties in this case to an alleged Abbotsford drive by shooting on Promontory Court that left an innocent neighbour, a 74 year old man, shot and killed in the crossfire.

Ronjot Dhami of Surrey and a third person, only ID’d as “Jason” have yet to be found by Police.

MARCH 21 UPDATE – Peel Ontario Regional Police have identified three suspects . Ronjot Singh Dhami, a 25 year-old man whose last known address is in Surrey was ID’d, followed by the second, a 21 year old from Abbotsford – Parmvir ‘Parm’ Singh Chahi. A third goes by the name of Jason. More info is expected to be released on him.

Dhami has since turned himself into Police and through his lawyer, is maintaining his innocence. Dhami was wanted for one count of Aggravated Assault under a Canada Wide Warrant.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant for Chahi has been issued.

Dhami and the other  suspect may still be in the GTA and are being encouraged to call a lawyer and surrender to police.

MARCH 19 ORIGINAL STORY – Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau of Peel Regional Police (a suburb of Toronto)are seeking the public’s assistance as they continue to investigate a vicious assault on an autistic male in the City of Mississauga.

There is a BC connection.

On Tuesday evening March 13, Peel Regional Police responded to a violent assault that occurred in the Square One bus terminal located in Mississauga.

This investigation remains a priority for Peel Regional Police and investigators have been following up on numerous tips from the community and are now extending their request for assistance from the residents British Columbia.

Progress has been made and investigators now have credible information that the persons responsible are originally from British Columbia, specifically the Lower Mainland area and they recently travelled to the Greater Toronto Area.

Police are certain that this was a targeted assault.

A Peel Police spokesperson, Constable Harinder Sohi , went on to say that if anyone in Vancouver, Surrey or Abbotsford recognize the men, they should contact local Police or RCMP at once or Peel Police at 905-453-2121 ext. 1233 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
