Third Ice Sheet At Sardis Sports Complex (Twin Rinks) Gets Green Light

Chilliwack – With no discussion nor opposition, Chilliwack City Council unanimously approved the expenditure of just over $8M for a third sheet of NHL size ice, at Twin Rinks. The name of the entire facility will be changed to Sardis Sports Complex when the third rink is complete.

The RFP Request For Proposal was granted to n.Wallace & Company Ltd.

The final city report said in part: Due to continued growth in youth sports and recreational hockey an additional ice surface is required. The additional ice surface will also allow new youth groups to access ice that wasn’t available to them in the past.
