Wild Motorcycle Chase In Abbotsford

Abbotsford (KAM Productions/Kevin MacDonald) – Just after 10pm  Sunday night, the Fraser Valley traffic services tried to pull over a motorcycle doing in excess of 175.00 km per hr.

A motorcyclist ran into a police vehicle at slow speed at Vye and Powerhouse roads on Sunday evening. The rider was arrested, and the bike was towed. - Kevin MacDonald

The member had the motorcycle pulled over when it took off from the member. About 15min later reports came in that the motorcycle had crashed in the Mt Lehman roundabout and the rider picked up his bike and parts and took off southbound on Mt Lehman.

An RCMP officer doing patrols in the area spotted the bike near the airport and when he attempted to pull the bike over.

It again took off down Huntington Road at a high rate of speed. Another RCMP officer searching for the bike spotted it about 20 min later at Vye Avenue and Powerhouse.

The bike was coming head on to the officers vehicle luckily both the bike and RCMP vehicle were only going at a very slow speed under 5km per hr.

The driver was arrested and the motorcycle towed. Charges are pending.
