Chilliwack Hosting 2016 Canadian Police Curling Championship

Chilliwack – March 24 to April 2, the Chilliwack Curling Club is hosting the 2016 Canadian Police Curling Championship.

Chilliwack’s Dale Hockley will try for a fifth title. His first came way back in 1985 when he was based in Castlegar.

From the official website: All regions have declared their Champions. This years field contains many former Champions and many familiar faces along with a few first time competitors. Check out all the teams now listed in the “Teams” section. With only a few short weeks to go the organizing committee is hard a work reading the event for the first arrivals. With this years early arrival of Spring and the wonderful Chilliwack temperatures, all those attending be sure to pack your shorts and sandles as we’re planning a closing gala with a beach theme. Special Thank You’s go out to our many sponsors as with their support will allow a fabulous championship week.

On behalf of our host committee we welcome one and all to Chilliwack in the Fraser Valley of ‘Beautiful’ British Columbia. The ‘Host’ committee has and continues to work hard to make this a memorable week for everyone. Come, enjoy our snow free environment and maybe indulge an early round of golf or just enjoy the beautiful green scenery that this area provides – year round.

We wish all competitors all the best of curling and luck in your quest to represent your province or territory to this year’s championship event.

The host committee would like to thank the host hotel – Best Western, The Chilliwack Curling Club and also Chilliwack Ford who has donated vehicles for this year’s transportation.
