Valley Huskers Blown Out Of The Ex On Opening Night

Chilliwack, BC -Excitement was building for the Valley Huskers 2015 football season. After a great spring training camp Coach Smith was optimistic that his team building plans were coming together.

In fact he was quoted as saying “We lost a few of our star players from last year, who fortunately for them were picked up by Universities, but the new crop of players are talented and eager to take over where the others left off.”

Then the Kamloops Broncos came to town and tore apart the Huskers at Exhibition Field Saturday Night.

When all was said and done, Kamloops won without trying, 72-17.

The twitter feed was a parade of Broncos moving the ball at will.

Next up for the boys is another home game at the Ex again the Okanagan Sun on Saturday August 1st, then its four straight road games.

Last night, as a special honour, the Valley Huskers dedicated this opening game to all of the Military Veterans in the community with  a special opening ceremony, entertainment and half time show.

Huskers web site can be found here.
