The draw is officially set for the 2024 Canada West’s women’s basketball championship, which tips-off next Wednesday in Abbotsford.

The host University of the Fraser Valley Cascades enjoyed a strong 17-3 regular season campaign and will look to use a raucous UFV Athletic Centre crowd to their advantage. The Cascades have earned a first round bye as the No. 4 seed and will open with a quarter-final contest on Thursday night at 6 p.m. PT against the winner of Wednesday’s clash between Manitoba and Alberta.
The Saskatchewan Huskies enter the tournament as the No. 1 seed after a 19-1 regular season campaign, while No. 2 UBC and No. 3 Calgary also received byes to the quarter-finals.
Semifinal action will take place on Saturday, Feb. 24, with the gold and bronze medal games set for Sunday, Feb. 25.
The top 12 teams in the regular season advanced to each championship based on the league standings using win/loss record. The teams were then reseeded based on their RPI ranking.
