Homeless Camp Near Island 22 Goes Up In Flames

Chilliwack – A homeless camp near the gates of Island 22 went up in flames early Thursday morning (July 27). Social media posts say some 20-30 tents and RV’s were burned.

Other posts claim that loud bangs could be heard coming from the camp, inferring that propane tanks may have ruptured.

Chilliwack Fire is expected to release a statement.

More to come.
