Chiefs Smoked In Trail

Trail, BC – Ex Chief Evan MacEachern and Max Newton each scored twice to lead the Trail Smoke Eaters to a 6-4 win over the Chiefs Thursday night in Trail.

Harlan Orr and Brett Wittala added singles for the Smoke Eaters (19-25-1-0), who never trailed in the game and held period leads of 2-0 and 4-2.

The Chiefs got goals from Jordan Kawaguchi, Darien Craighead, Kohen Olischefski and Rylan Bechtel.

Bailey MacBurnie made 38 saves to earn the win while Matteo Esposito turned away 19 Trail shots.

The Chiefs are in Penticton  Friday night.
