Chilliwack Legion Reaching Out To Business To Purchase Wreaths For Remembrance Day

Chilliwack – It is Remembrance time for all Legions across the country.

The Chilliwack Legion is encouraging all business, schools and retirement care homes to purchase a wreath.

NOTE that all wreaths will be pre-placed at the Chilliwack Downtown Cenotaph on November 11.

Those wanting to place a wreath may do so after the ceremonies conclude and everyone has left. (There are three ceremonies – Downtown, All Sappers Memorial Park in Vedder Crossing and the Sto:lo grounds at Coqualeetza Longhouse – 7201 Vedder Road).

Social Distancing will be in place for all events. Details of an actual parade have yet to be announced.

If you have not received a letter to purchase a wreath, contact the Legion office.

Wreaths run from (depending on size) from $35 to $135 and all purchases go toward supporting Veterans and their Families. Only cash and cheque will be accepted.

You are asked to call before November 9.

604 858 3600.

Thank you to Bill Higdon for the information.
