Chilliwack – Wilma’s Transition Society has put out the word of a solemn walk on September 30, which is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Day.
This year, Rick Joe, a First Nations Teacher in the Chilliwack School District, and his wife Peggy are organizing a walk called “Orange Shirt Day” which is on September 30th.
The walk is starting at approximately 5:00 pm from Sto:lo Nation longhouse (7201 Vedder Rd), heading down Knight Rd to the Skowkale Fish Hatchery then returning to the Sto:lo Nation longhouse.
