District of Kent – COVID19: Facility Re-Opening Starting June 1

Agassiz – The District of Kent is re-opening its facilities to the public with limited services. This decision aligns with the Provincial government’s Restart Plan.

Several safety guidelines will be in effect with emphasis on:

1.Staying home if you are sick

2.Hand hygiene

3.Practice physical distancing

On June 1, the Community Recreation and Cultural Centre (CRCC) will resume operations with modified hours as follows:

Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

Saturday and Sunday10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Municipal Hall will re-open to the public on June 3 with regular business hours. The limited in person services will be financial transactions (all forms of payment and purchases of dog tag, bus passes, etc.). During this transition, the District strongly recommends that residents requiring services from other departments such as engineering or planning services, call ahead and make an appointment.

The following no contact payment options continue to be available:

1.Online or telephone banking –please contact your financial institution to set it up.

2.In person –there is a secure drop box located at the front door of the Municipal Office where you can drop off your cheque.

3.By mail.

4.In person at your financial institution.
