Abbotsford – Every October, Purple Lights show up everywhere to raise awareness about domestic violence.
Lights a purple light in your window shows that you care and you will welcome anyone who is in desperate need of shelter from domestic abuse.
The City of Abbotsford now has a Community call for artists, which is due September 25.
If you’re a high school or university student, join the community-wide art contest to recognize those affected by domestic violence.
Purple Lights Campaign Winning pieces will be displayed at The Reach Gallery and Museum in Abbotsford (32388 Veterans Way) during October, Purple Lights month.
