Abbotsford/Surrey – Two men from Surrey were arrested early Friday morning when patrol officers noticed a suspicious vehicle in rural Abbotsford (28000 blk of Downes Rd). As police drove by, two males fled on foot in opposite directions.
One male was arrested within minutes, and the second male was located after an extensive track by the LMDIPDS ( Lower Mainland District Integrated Police Dog Service Unit ) Unit. Charges include Theft from Mail, Possession of Stolen Property, and Possess Instruments suitable for the purpose of breaking into a place.
Patrol officers located large amounts of freshly stolen mail in the suspect’s vehicle.
