Chilliwack – In appreciation of Glen Ringdal’s many years of service to the Chilliwack Chiefs, the hockey club will dedicate their final regular season home game, Sunday, February 17, to celebrating his legacy.
Ringdal served as the President of the Chilliwack Chiefs Hockey Club and Prospera Centre from 2011-2018; leading business development and community relations for the team as well as representing Chilliwack at the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) Board of Governors.
Prior to the start of the Chiefs’ game versus the Prince George Spruce Kings at 2:00pm, there will be a special on-ice presentation featuring Ringdal’s many friends from the Vancouver Canucks, BC Lions, Vancouver 86ers (now Whitecaps), New Car Dealers Association of BC, Tire Stewardship BC Association, Tourism Chilliwack, the City of Chilliwack, and others.
With support from On Side Restoration, the Chiefs will present a game day of family fun, including a post-game skate with the team. Local band Judy Tuesday will be playing all of Ringdal’s favourite songs on the 89.5 The Drive and Tractorgrease Stage. Saint Mary’s School will be hosting an art show and West Coast Amusements will be providing interactive carnival activities on the concourse during the game. Tiara Food & Beverage Concepts will be featuring $2 junior hot dogs, $2 small pop, and a special “Ringdal Burger” at the concessions.
Fans are invited to help fulfill a dream of Ringdal’s; to see the stands at Prospera Centre filled to capacity. Single game tickets are on sale now and a few suites are still available.
