Vancouver/Toronto – A heads up for all Country Music Performers.
SiriusXM Canada has announced the return of SiriusXM Top of the Country in partnership with the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA). The nationwide search for Canada’s next big country music star provides emerging artists with a national platform, performance opportunities at some of Canada’s biggest country music events, SOCAN songwriting camps, and industry mentorship, in addition to $25,000 cash.
SiriusXM will be hosting studio sessions in Toronto and Vancouver, so shine up those boots and send in your best original performance video. 8 acts will be picked and videos of their studio sessions will go online so the country can vote for their favourites.
The acts with the most votes will perform at Canada’s biggest country music events, attend an industry mentor session in Toronto and head to Nashville for a songwriting trip.
Canadian country solo artists and groups can register until Februay 1 at topcountry.siriusxm.ca.
The grand prize winner will be chosen live during the CCMA’s Country Music Week, being held this year in Calgary, September 5-8.
