Fraser Valley – Even though this is an “El Nino” year, we are in the time of year where there is the potential for a snow event.
Environment Canada had issued a special weather statement, NOT a warning of 5 cms of snow may fall on the Valley during the day on Sunday.
A weak front that was moving in, fell apart as the temperatures quickly warmed up.
That weather statement has been dropped.
Better to be safe than sorry, you might have noticed on Friday that crews in Abbotsford, Chilliwack and other jurisdictions, had crews drop brine on the roads in anticipation of any challenges.
#WeatherAlert – there's snow in the forecast this weekend for the eastern and central #FraserValley and our trucks are ready to roll. #ShiftIntoWinter
