Abbotsford – The Town Cinema site on McCallum Road is about to be transformed into 150 rental apartments, 73 townhouses with 27 secondary suites. 23 of which will have micro-secondary suites, geared for university students. Abbtsford Councilor Dave Loewen took to Social MEdia to express his satisfaction that this project is in motion.
Loewen told FVN : “All of this is taking place in the newly-designed U-District. Exciting times!”

The decades old Town Cinemas have been pretty much replaced by the Cineplex Odeon at Highstreet Shopping Centre as well as on line movie providers such as Netflix.
A timeline for shovels in the ground has yet to be put into motion.
