Mission RCMP Retrieve $300K In Stolen Property

Mission – In the past week Mission RCMP’s Prolific Offender Suppression Team (POST) recovered $300,000 of stolen property, totaling over $500,000 in the first five weeks of 2018 including 20 firearms, in investigations that involved multiple municipalities throughout the Lower Mainland.

In one example of alleged stolen property being recovered; On February 7, 2018, Mission RCMP responded to a sighting of stolen Semi truck in the 30500 block of the Silverhill Ave in Mission. Mission POST followed Burke where he was later arrested without incident. Further investigation of Burek led POST to executing a Search Warrant in the area of 14th Ave/Clegg Street where numerous stolen items, believed to be valued over $50,000, were located. Items believed to have been stolen in thefts, and break and enters from throughout the Lower Mainland, including power tools, and an extensive collection for which the owner has been identified, of first edition comic books.
