Abbotsford -AUGUST 6 UPDATE – IHIT stays that the Abbotsford murder victim has been ID’d as Jaspreet Sidhu, 18 of Abbotford. Sidhu known to police as a gang member and this is believed to be a targeted hit. IHIT and APD say it is not known if this was connected to Sunday’s early morning shooting.
A man seen running away from the crime scene on a pathway on Oriole Crescent after the shooting, is described as 5’11” tall, of medium build and wearing black pants and a black, hooded sweatshirt.
AUGUST 4 ORIGINAL STORY – An 18 year old male was killed in a targeted drive by shooting. Shots were fired around 3;30 PM on Friday afternoon off George Ferguson Way and Oriole Cresent.
IHIT has now taken control of this investigation and Abbotsford Police continue to look for the shooter.
A pedestrian was nearly hit after the now deceased driver, jumped the curb with his vehicle and nearly took out another person.
