Abbotsford – It had seemed that former MLA for Abbotsford-Mission Reann Gaspar, would easily capture and regain the BC Conservative nomination heading into the Provincial Election on October 24.
Then came the twist. She post a video almost accepting the nod and saying thanks and within 24 hours, she was not the choice.
It’s Darryl Kropp.
Late in the evening of October 6, Gaspar released her endorsement of Kropp.
From the social media post:
A lot has shifted around Abbotsford-Mission as of late, but one thing remains the same. I still care deeply about this community, and I remain committed to speaking up for it, whatever role I may hold.
We are in the middle of a significant turning point in our province. This is not a time to sit on the sidelines. It is a time to get involved, stay engaged and show up as the future of British Columbia is being shaped.
That is why I have chosen to support Darryl Kropp here in Abbotsford-Mission. I believe this province deserves a genuine path to change, the kind that creates opportunity, strengthens our communities and allows British Columbia to thrive once again.
The time to get engaged is now. The time to use our voices is now. And I intend to keep using mine, not only for Abbotsford-Mission, but in the larger conversation about where our province goes from here. There is important work ahead, and I will keep doing my part.
If you feel the same way about the future of this place we call home, I hope you’ll consider getting involved too. Whether it is a small step or a bigger one, every effort helps.
