Mission – H S Kenny Braich is in the running for Mission Mayor on October 17. That’s Municipal Election Day.
From his social media (H S Kenny Braich): (September 11) was the final day for nominations for our upcoming municipal elections (October 17th) and I have officially entered the race for Mayor against a young, very popular and ambitious man and sitting Councillor, Jag Gill.
My hope is to share a story, a huge amount of information with respect to what’s been going on behind closed doors at city hall but most importantly, my ideas and a path forward with concrete actions to change the direction of our community which has been seriously damaged and is suffering from errant, reckless and many unlawful decisions and ideology.
We need wholesale change and I believe we can do so much better in so many respects and want to ensure an honest dialog and robust debate so everyone is aware and can decide whom they trust as their representatives and “Mayor and Council” for the next four years which is going to irrevocably change Mission and our quality of life forever.
I will be putting out my platform and going live here on my page in a couple days to start things off (I will announce exact date and time) and I will be hosting an open mic neighbourhood town hall meeting at the Clarke Theatre on September 29th (or October 5th – tba) with invites to Jag, MP Brad Vis, MP Marc Dalton, MLA Lawrence Mok and our soon to be determined new Abbotsford – Mission MLA.
I believe in transparency, equality and dialog and I believe it’s critical that our community have an open conversation in the interests of getting this right…we can’t afford and won’t survive more of the same. Love and respect to all.
