Heritage Abbotsford – A New Tradition of Hope: Local Writers Confront Their “Worst Christmas Ever” – Saturday December 6

Abbotsford – Author and editor JJ Lee, a former CBC Radio journalist, is bringing his
popular anthology series to life with a new event, “Worst Christmas Ever.”
In three one-hour shows, in collaboration with Heritage Abbotsford Society,
Lee will feature live storytelling from contributors from three of the Better
Next Year collection of true stories that tackle the pressures of having a
“perfect” holiday season with humour, heart, and moving insights.

In each presentation, heartbreak, hijinx, and havoc will collide and the
audience will have a chance to share their own complicated experiences all
the while renewing their sense of hope. It will be a poignant and humorous
look at the true heart of what is supposedly the best time of year.

This event will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1PM to 4PM
at Trethewey House Heritage Site (2313 Ware Street, Abbotsford).
All royalties of the Better Next Year books benefit the Surrey Libraries Youth
Writing Contest.
