Chilliwack – Chilliwack RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 87-year-old Rudolf Zimmermann, who was reported missing on September 8, 2026.
Rudolf was last seen at approximately 1:00 p.m. on September 8, 2026, after being dropped off by family members at the Cheam Leisure Centre on Market Way in Chilliwack. When family members returned to pick him up, he was no longer at the location.
Rudolf requires regular medication, and his disappearance is out of character. Both police and his family are concerned for his well-being
Rudolf Zimmermann is described as:
- Caucasian
- 87 years old
- 6’0″ (183 cm) tall
- 150 lbs (68 kg)
- White hair
- White moustache
- Blue eyes
Rudolf was last seen wearing a blue and black jacket, grey pants, dark shoes, and was carrying a blue bag.
“We are asking anyone who may have seen Rudolf or has information about his whereabouts to contact police immediately,” says Cpl. Carmen Kiener, spokesperson for the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment. “Even seemingly minor details may help investigators locate him.”
Police are also asking residents and businesses in the area of the Cheam Leisure Centre and surrounding neighbourhoods to review any available video surveillance footage since the afternoon of September 8, 2026, for possible sightings of Rudolf.
