Cultus Lake – From Jono Willcocks Social Media – Release: I am thrilled to announce that I am seeking election as a Commissioner on the Cultus Lake Park Board for the upcoming four-year term.
I am not running because I believe anything is ‘broken’. I am running because I want to genuinely participate in making good decisions that help form a solid path ahead. I believe we can protect what we love AND build a strong future together.
I have been a Cultus Lake property owner since 2003 and a year-round, full-time resident with my family for over six years. We love the lake, the natural environment and the distinctive sense of community that makes this such a unique place to call home. You’ve probably seen me walking my dogs, riding my bike, canoeing with my team on the lake, enthusiastically hosting or participating in our local events, or chatting with neighbours!
I believe that you can’t be part of a community unless you take part in it. Community, Leadership, Service and Stewardship are the values that have guided me throughout my life. For the past four years, through my company Pinnacle Pursuits, I have really enjoyed sponsoring Cultus Lake Day by providing the Family Adventure Challenge Zone for families and visitors of all ages to help build positive, shared experiences in our amazing community.
I am a business owner, professional facilitator and community-builder, avid nature-lover and outdoor recreationalist with more than 30 years of leadership experience. I know how to listen, bring people together, manage responsibilities and turn shared priorities into practical action.
I care deeply about the future of our beautiful lake, this park, and our unique community. I am running to help protect the health of our lake, strengthen community safety, support responsible long-term financial planning, and continue to improve communication between the Park Board and the people it serves.
