“We thank Consul General Julián Adem Díaz de León and the Government of Mexico for their partnership. We also recognize the firefighters and emergency personnel who have come from across Canada and around the world to support the response.
“This assistance will be critical to the brave men and women of the BC Wildfire Service, local and Indigenous fire departments, and the many emergency personnel who have been working around the clock to protect lives, homes, and communities.
“To everyone who has been forced to evacuate, suffered the loss of a home or property, or is anxiously watching conditions in their community, please know that you are foremost in our thoughts. We stand with you, and we remain profoundly grateful to every firefighter, first responder, and support worker whose courage, professionalism, and selfless service are helping keep British Columbians safe.”
