Mission – JULY 15 UPDATE – A woman who was reported missing on June 14, 2026, has now been confirmed to be deceased.
On June 14, 2026, a family member of an adult woman reported her as a missing person. After Mission RCMP spoke with the woman’s family, it was determined that no one had seen her for a number of years. Investigators worked diligently to try to locate the missing woman, and eventually began looking into whether human remains found in Mission in 2024 may be those of the missing woman. After examining the matter in partnership with the BC Coroner’s Service, Mission RCMP can now confirm that the previously unidentified remains are in fact those of the missing woman.
Mission RCMP send their sincerest sympathies to the woman’s family, and hope that this news helps to bring some closure to what must have been a very difficult time in their lives.
