Mission (Mission RCMP) – Around 2AM RTuesday (Dec 9) morning, multiple callers reported hearing gunshots outside a house on Kenney Avenue in Mission. Mission RCMP attended and located spent bullet casings outside the house, but fortunately there were no reported injuries.
The house that appears to have been targeted is the same house that was targeted in a similar overnight shooting in April 2024. No one was injured in that incident either, and no arrests were made.
The current investigation is in the early stages, and the motive for the shooting is unknown. No one has been arrested; however, witnesses reported seeing a white 4-door sedan speeding away after the shooting. Officers from Mission RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit are now leading the investigation, and have support from the Lower Mainland Integrated Forensic Identification Service.
