Friday Night

Operations across the city remained routine. Our Traffic Team was active and successfully removed five impaired drivers from the roads. In the early morning hours, officers responded to a carjacking on Clearbrook Road. The victim’s vehicle was stolen but later recovered by Patrol officers. One suspect was arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.

Saturday

Saturday day shift was largely uneventful. However, during the arrest of one individual, an officer sustained an injury when a combative suspect bit their thumb. Charges of Assaulting a Police Officer are being forwarded.

Sunday

Sunday’s day shift allowed officers time to address outstanding tasks. Overnight, officers responded to two reports of shots fired. One incident was determined to involve fireworks. At the second location, near McCallum Road and Cornwall Avenue, extensive patrols were conducted, but no evidence of a shooting was found. Both reports were unfounded.
